BHI Broth (Vaccine Grade)
This high-grade Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) Broth is specially formulated for the cultivation of fastidious microorganisms, particularly Mycoplasma pneumoniae. It provides a rich nutrient base that, when supplemented with serum and antibiotics, supports robust growth of these organisms for vaccine manufacturing.

🔹 Intended Use
For the cultivation of Mycoplasma pneumoniae for vaccine production.
🔹 Composition (per liter)
🔹 Directions for Use
- Suspend 28.3 g of the medium powder in 1000 mL of distilled water.
- Heat to boiling to completely dissolve the powder.
- Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Aseptically add the following supplements:
- 100 mL of inactivated calf serum or horse serum
- 800,000 units of penicillin
- Mix thoroughly and dispense into sterile test tubes for use.
🔹 Microbial Sensitivity Test
Test Protocol: Prepare the medium according to the label instructions, inoculate the QC strain, and incubate anaerobically at 36±1°C for 7–14 days.
